Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit high-quality manuscripts that present original research, technical studies,
short communications, review articles, or applied scientific contributions relevant to maritime technology
and applications.

Submission Overview

Manuscript Submission

All authors are required to submit their manuscripts through the official ICOMTA online submission system
after registering as an author. Each manuscript must be prepared according to the official ICOMTA paper
template and must comply with the conference formatting, ethical, and publication requirements.

The accepted manuscript categories include original research articles, short communications, and review
articles. Authors should ensure that their submissions are clear, original, well-structured, and aligned
with the scope of ICOMTA.

General Requirements

  • The manuscript must be written in English.
  • The manuscript should follow the official ICOMTA template.
  • The paper length should meet the required conference standard.
  • The citation and reference style should follow IEEE format.
  • Authors are encouraged to use reference management and writing support tools.

Supplementary Files

  • Cover Letter summarising the key findings and significance of the manuscript.
  • Statement of Originality confirming that the manuscript is original.
  • Additional documents may be requested by the editorial or publication committee.

Similarity & Ethics

  • Submitted manuscripts will be checked for similarity before the review process.
  • Plagiarism, duplicate publication, and false data are not tolerated.
  • Authors must properly cite all references and acknowledge financial support when applicable.

Review and Revision

Peer Review Process

Each submitted manuscript will undergo an editorial screening and peer-review process. The review process
is conducted to evaluate the quality, originality, relevance, methodology, results, discussion, and overall
contribution of the manuscript to the conference scope.

Manuscripts may be accepted, returned for revision, or rejected based on editorial assessment and reviewer
recommendations. Authors receiving revision requests are expected to revise and resubmit their manuscripts
through the online submission system within the period determined by the committee.

Manuscript Preparation

Formatting Instructions

Authors must prepare their manuscripts using the official ICOMTA template. The manuscript should be written
clearly and professionally, with complete author information, affiliation, abstract, keywords, main text,
figures, tables, acknowledgements when applicable, and references.

Template
Use the official ICOMTA paper template.

Language
Write the manuscript in English.

Citation Style
Use IEEE citation and reference format.

Graphics
Use clear figures, tables, and diagrams.

Important Note for Authors

Authors are responsible for ensuring that the submitted manuscript is original, has not been published
elsewhere, and does not violate publication ethics. Manuscripts that do not follow the template,
formatting instructions, ethical standards, or submission requirements may be returned to the authors
for correction before further processing.

Accepted and presented papers will be published in international proceedings with ISSN and indexed by GARUDA. Selected papers will be considered for publication as book chapters in the Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems (LNNS) series, indexed in Scopus Q4, published by Springer International Publishing AG (contract process in progress).
